Guest guest
It has been 2 years and I am still alive and kicking. Some of the times have been tough with alot of new problems, but all in all i wouldnt trade it in because the alternative wasnt very pretty. For those who dont know me my name is Bob Falk. I am a 55yr old man and live in harrison,ar, which I like to call God's country. I was diagnosed with psc in 1996 and was transplanted on Oct 15,2005. Like alot of others I had problems after my transplant. Some of the problems consisted of infection of unknown source, liver rejection, c diff, diabetis, prostate disease, ulcerative colitis, sleep apnea, and broken bones from osteoperosis. Plus i now have liver disease back altho the doctors say it is not psc but believe its another auto immune liver disease. 2 biopsies were negative for psc but showed a great deal of inflamation of the liver. The bile ducts looks great, but with the inflamation and the liver enzymes back off the chart makes the doctors think its another liver disease just not to the point of diagnosis. Now back to better things, I should be a grandpa this time next week. It is my first grandchild. I am sorry i havent been very regular lately but try to keep busy by working 1 or 2 days a week as an engineering consultant to AT & T and managing my rental properties. hillbillybob psc dx 1996, tx oct 15, 2005 ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better Heartthrob. Guest guest
It’s great to hear from you Bob! Can’t believe it’s been two years, I remember checking your caringbridge page every day to see if your son had updated it. Is this the son whose wife is having a baby? I’m so sorry to hear about the new liver disease. It never ends does it? But, you sound great and a new baby in the family certainly gives you something good to look forward to. Please don’t be such a stranger here! With love, Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight, Whatever it Takes!
