I had the same experience Todd did, well almost. I was NPO for several days...not even water. Mine took months to resolve, but I think it's because it took them months to dx it, and by the time they discovered the problem my pancreas was too closed off to place a stent - the doc did a spincterotomy, without stent placement. Because there was so much damage done to my pancreas, I ended up on TPN for a few weeks and now take Pancrease MT16 when I eat. I am glad to hear that they caught Fred's early on, and a stone removal or stent placement will fix him up!! In the meantime, I'd have him go easy on taking anything by mouth, because anything will prompt his pancreas to work.
