Guest guest
, I had the same experience Todd did, well almost. I was NPO for several days...not even water. Mine took months to resolve, but I think it's because it took them months to dx it, and by the time they discovered the problem my pancreas was too closed off to place a stent - the doc did a spincterotomy, without stent placement. Because there was so much damage done to my pancreas, I ended up on TPN for a few weeks and now take Pancrease MT16 when I eat. I am glad to hear that they caught Fred's early on, and a stone removal or stent placement will fix him up!! In the meantime, I'd have him go easy on taking anything by mouth, because anything will prompt his pancreas to work. Again, prayers coming your way! (MO)PSC, UC dx 1984, chronic pancreatitis dx 1997, etc.; listed for tx 06/05 in STL, and 06/07 in Clevelandhttp://www.caringbridge.org/visit/melaniejsSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
