Hello list friends,My son is in his last year of High School. He wants to go to college and would like to have the living IN campus experience.Despite being very bright at school and very out spoken, I feel that he is very naive and child like, I don't feel comfortable leaving him to navigate on his own.I have been recommended an educational advisor but it happens to be very expensive for my budget (5 000). I need a place where he has support for time management, focus, and organization.Do you have any recommendations for Colleges out there? Any advisor that charges lower fees? Thanks for your help!Yamila.

Will look into it. Thank you.

Robin

First, every college/university has to have some sort of "department" for accomodations. They vary as to the extent of accomodations offered. Have you looked at Lynn University, in Boca Raton? I have been told that this is a university, specifically for individuals with learning disabilities. I have also seena variety of options in "Additude" Magazine. You can look at it, on-line, as well. You can also consult with "Center for Independent Living". You can also check out ldonline.org.
