Hello Phil, Can I ask you another question? We just went to see Dr Chalasini yesterday. My husband (who has PSC) has had biopsy in april, and MRCP in July down at IUPUI. Now Dr Chalasini wants him to do an ERCP. Have they done this to you? What more will we find out from the ERCP that we didn't get from the MRCP. Wonder why they didn't just do it first. Since you see the same dr, I just thought I'd ask your opinion. thanks, Tammy (Tipton, IN)phil drake wrote: Hello Tammy,I am sorry to hear of your husbands recent diagnosis. I have had PSC for 13 years and gone to IU the entiretime. As I understand it, ERCP is the best method todetermine staging of this disease. PSC progressesvery differently from person to person. Dr. Lehmanhas performed my ERCP's and is very good. IU alsoperforms numerous transplants. My hepatologist now isDr. Naga Chalasani and he is well versed with PSC andaware of this support group & studies being performedin PSC research in the country.
