Guest guest
- I will never give up gardening. I've given up way too many other things due to this nasty beast. I may have to modify the way I do things but that's okay. There are even ways to do it if you're wheelchair bound - I watched a show on HGTV maybe, not sure what station it was on. But there was a woman who was in a wheel chair and all of her plant beds were raised - so she was still able to work them. So where there is a will, there is a way. And of course, I've got hubby - who is wonderful about doing all the manual labor which I am grateful for. It helps a lot that he likes to garden too - he actually caught the bug from me. Gardening and plants give me a lot of joy - you should see all the plants I have indoors - and working with plants for me anyway, is a great stress reducer. Kind of like having pets - that's why I have 2 dogs, 8 cats, 2 parakeets and feed all the critters outside. Some people think I'm nuts having that many animals, but like I said - great stress reducers, they are very comforting and I wouldn't have it any other way. Guest guest
Are you my long lost twin sister Teri?? lol Besides the gardening, have a sheltie and 4 kitties, would have more if I could but we are in a condo and I'm already breaking the by-laws with having them. Only can have 2. And I'm suppose to turn in pics of our pets to the association. Uh oh, what do I do. lol I'd sell this place before I would give up any of my fur children. So true about the stress reducers. But every once in a while, espescially when I'm having a really bad pain day, and they all want attention, it can be stressful ~~~~ but short lived, til they realize Mom aint feelin good. Guest guest
Judy - that is so nice to hear - I was telling Melody I have better friendships online that I do in real life - by the way - not that this is going to happen, but if you ever need to find a home for any of your furbabies - my home is open. It's true that pets can tell when you're not feeling well - mine come to console me when I'm hurting or depressed - they just seem to know when mama needs some extra loving - I'd have more and probably will because we always say that's it - 8 cats is enough but something always comes up where we see one that is in need or that we simply have to have and we end up with more.
