Cindy, I am glad you are on the road to some kind of relief. I cannot imagine

going through this without medication. I guess I could, but quality of life

would be nil. On the other hand, I don't think I could drag myself to work

without the pain medication.

As for the state government, just like the federal government, they will mess

things up at least once everytime I think.

Glad you are getting some help,

hugs,

Debra V.

Hey all!

Don't faint...I actually have some GOOD things to share, thank the Good Lord

above!!

After a ROTTEN start to my week (see my last post) I added to it the fact

that I was mistaken about the day of my Disability X-ray appointment. I was

all ready to go...not feeling well at all and wanting to stay home..and

asked my stepfather what time they wanted to leave, and he says " WHERE? " I

was NOT amused!! After a bit of a heated exchange, I sheepishly realized

that I thought MONDAY was the 12th..not TODAY! So, he was right (I hate

when that happens!).

Anyway, I was in a LOT of pain, and hadn't heard anything from my doctor

about prescribing something for it..and now I would have to wait ANOTHER

day.

So, here comes today. The ACTUAL appointment. I had a horrible night.

Couldn't sleep due to my pain. I am VERY picky about my hair and

makeup..and all I could do was pin it back and didn't even bother with

makeup. (Who wants to look GOOD for a Disability doc anyway? ) I got to

the place, went in, and lo and behold the State screwed up my

appointment!!! Not only did they give me the wrong PLACE they didn't

include all the paperwork I needed to fill out. Luckily (and here is where

the good news starts!) they had a cancellation, and while I couldn't get my

X-rays (since it was the wrong location) I COULD get my Physical Eval today

and NOT have to come back Thursday! And the Xrays don't require an

appointment, so I can do that anytime. The doctor was nice, but I hope the

quickie exam was enough to show my problems.

Then..I called my doctor, and YEAH they faxed a script for Darvocet to my

pharmacy!!! (Another GOOD thing - 2 so far in one day?? I am getting

SPOILED!!) One more obstacle...my Medicaid!

So, I go to the pharmacy, cautiously hand over my card...and IT GOES

THROUGH!! Hallelujah! I got my pills, and told them I would call about the

other scripts they have on hold there (the Lyrica and such) and popped a

dose in the car. I a already starting to feel some relief (FINALLY!).

Thank you ALL for the posts and emails offering prayers and support. Keep

it up! I am still battling depression and all, but today was a shot in the

arm I needed.

Blessings,

Cindy Lou
