Hello all, does everyone here try to exercise? Well my doctor told me to

start exercising to see if it would help things. I used to be very athletic a

few

years ago then stopped when I realized how good it felt just to sit at home on

the couch! haha! Well after the dr told me to exercise I went to the gym at

college and did 2.5 miles on the eliptical and 2 miles walking. I did this at a

slow pace and stopped before I acctually felt tired. Well doing this I

thought that I was taking it easy. Boy was I wrong! My body hurt me for days

afterwards! Well after that incedent I took a few weeks off not wanting to hurt

like

that again and now I bought a yoga dvd. I just got done doing only 10 minutes

of it and feel more tired than I did after I went to the gym. I couldn't even

stay in " downward facing dog " for more than 2 minutes. This is rediculous. I

dont know how I am soppose to start exercising if I get tired after just 10

minutes of yoga.. My dr said to try water arobics so I guess that will be my

next

challenge.. I will keep you all updated on that as soon as I get the nerves

up to go to the local YMCA

I started working out August of 2006. I do some floor stretches, some

yoga and low impact cardio. In the beginning I just sat on the floor

and stretched my legs, did some head/neck movements, and baby stepped

each day from there. I added a few other stretches each week, with some

yoga poses, sit ups for my abs, leg lifts to tone the rear a bit, and

then I later added a walk-about inside the house. I started doing a 20

minute walk and I'd have two tv's on with my favorite soap, and I'd just

pace the house for 20 minutes straight. Later I added my step aerobics

bench and weeks later I added a light jog to the mix.

I'm currently doing 2 days a week which is not my best, but this week I

hope to do three workouts.

Anyhow I hate working out, but feel fantastic right after. Plus I flare

less as long as I keep it up, my immune system is stronger, and it has

also helped my anxiety and depression by leaps and bounds. It's kind of

a release of penned up emotions when I do my workout.

Oh and hubby got me 2lb hand weights for Christmas so I am using those,

before it was club soda bottles filled with water.

Oh I did mean to add, I still can't do downward facing dog right. I

cannot put my heels flat on the floor, and it hurts!
