Guest guest
Like Melody, I do light cardio and weights at my gym. Was taking yoga twice a week till one class was cancelled. Haven't been able to get to the other lately since I am too tired. When I do downward dog I can't get my heels on the floor either. Really do miss the mild stretching in my remaining yoga based class. Do have 1, 4 and 6 lbs weight I use at home when I can't go to the gym. Guest guest
I tried CURVES for a free 1 week trial and flared for a week afterward. It wasn't even hard. Hydraulic exercises, but my body rebelled so I never joined. I am considering YOGA and there is a place that has all levels - even for people in wheelchairs, so I might try that. Yoga is suposed to help, right? Ruthie > > Hello all, does everyone here try to exercise? Well my doctor told me to > > start exercising to see if it would help things. Guest guest
It helps me but I'm not limber enough to get into all those positions accurately. I just try best I can, but don't come anywhere near what it is supposed to be. LOL Ruthie wrote: > I tried CURVES for a free 1 week trial and flared for a week > afterward. It wasn't even hard. I still have big plans that my birthday present this spring will be a new bicycle --- I don't remember the name of it is a really cool bike and the range of products this company manufacturers are ones that have no speed and others that range to 20 speed ones, I am planning on getting the 3 speed --- they even look like the old bikes from the fifties! Some designed for racing but others for pleasure. I think if the neighborhood where our new house is in So. Illinois is anything like it was when we were looking, I should have no problem --- all flat ground --- I had problems here with one I had, we have too many hills and I did not have the control I wanted. I was very angry though, when I got home from work one day and my husband announced that he had given it away!!! One of these days, he may get some pay back for that another things he has given away with out asking if it is ok!
Guest guest
That's interesting about your doctor saying the machines are not good for your cervical spine, because that is exactly what my doctor told me. Among many other exercises I have tried was Curves and it really aggravated my neck and upper back area. Since those areas along with my shoulders are some of my most painful areas it was torture to have additional pain there. I thought it was mainly because of the Fibromyalgia, but maybe it was because I already have problems there. Who knows? Guest guest
, your DH is a real brat for giving away your bicycle without asking. My mother did the same thing to me years ago. Grrrr! Now I have another " no speed " that I can ride around the flat sections here at my own pace. Just like my old one. But I used to have a 10 speed and didn't like it much at all. One speed is fine for me as long as there are no hills. Ruthie > > > > I tried CURVES for a free 1 week trial and flared for a week > > afterward. It wasn't even hard.
