OT - Sheboygan? How about Oconomowoc

Never heard that about Sheboygan before. LOL!

I spent my elementary years in Oconomowoc. It was said the name came from

an Indian who claimed " I can no more walk! " .

Didn't know both those cities were from Indian phrases. I am from Ohio,

and do recognize Sheboygan but not Oconomowoc. What tribe of Indians

then?

I don't know to be honest. I realized after I sent that that it might offend

some of Native American descent. It was just a saying about how Oconomowoc got

its name, but its probably an old wive's tale, not really true. A lot of our

cites and such have names from the tribes that were here.
