Guest guest
Hi Debra, They had me chart mine for a six month period and my normal ended up being 98.5 and it would spike to 101 on a regular basis. The last year or so when I have the fevers I've seen a slight increase to about 101.5. I run a fever of at least 99.2 twice a week. The higher spikes always comes with pain. For YEARS I would say I've got the flu but now we know that it's the fibro monster! Tracking your temp, bp, daily weight, and just your health in general will surprise you. My weight can jump 10 pounds in one day!! We didn't have any idea that I was retaining that much water from my heart failure till the doctors started making me weigh first thing every morning. We put the scales in the kitchen and one day I had weighted that morning as usual but was feeling a little puffy that evening and stepped up on the scales and low and behold I had put on 10 lbs. since that morning!!!! When I told the doctor about it I had to start tracking my food intake and weight morning and evening. The results showed that my Lasix wasn't enough to keep me from retaining water. We upped my dosage and we seem to have that problem under control. I still keep an eye out for those jumps. But I got off topic, track your temp just to know what's going on with your body! Guest guest
Hi Angelia, I think that it's weird that 99.2 is such a common temp among fibromites. Mine goes to that exact temp several times a month up to several times a week. I'm glad they got the water retention problem taken care of. I'm taking Prednisone and have gained so much water weight that my socks leave marks up and down my shins and my glasses leave ridges in the sides of my face. I'm in the process of weaning down to start treatment next week, but will still be on some so my Sarcoidosis won't flare during my treatment. Hope you are feeling as well as possible today, Marti sbyangel@... wrote: Hi Debra, They had me chart mine for a six month period and my normal ended up being 98.5 and it would spike to 101 on a regular basis.
