Guest guest
Roman The 100% grass fed pasteurized butter (stressing the 100%) is of value because of the fatty acids. But--- feeding any grain changes the pH of the rumen and thus changing the bacterial function that produces the different fatty acids. So a pasture fed butter needs to be 100% pasture fed to be of SIGNIFICANT nutrient value. Other factors that are involved in a nutrient dense product include: rate of grass growth, variety of forage available, heating process of the product. on a positive note. any pasturing of the cow is a good thing, even if they are fed grain and the product is pasteurized. It is a proper way to treat the animal (outside grazing) and the product has better flavor and color. Dave
