Guest guest
EDMARK reading program is no longer used in broward county. That is why the autism coach told you they are not using it at the school. It is useless. Lori Wise is the speaker. Check out their calendar. Guest guest
I disagree. We used Edmark privately with our tutor when my child first started to learn how to read and it gave her a good start. Sent from my iPad EDMARK reading program is no longer used in broward county. That is why the autism coach told you they are not using it at the school. It is useless. Guest guest
That's a shame that Edmark is out...We used Edmark and it was a wonderful tool that taught my son how to read EASILY. Guest guest
That is a shame! Edmark is far from useless. It has been an integral component in teaching many of my clients to read and even learn some basic comprehension.. It has been changed to incorporate computer technology, and can be very useful in teaching many non readers to read their first words, sentences, and stories! I can attest to its success in every situation I have utilized it, both the regular reading and the functional reading lessons. It should be used in conjunction with a phonics program, but is an excellent starting point for many children with autism.Good news is that some libraries keep this program available, so families can still have access to it.Sent via BlackBerry by AT&TSender: sList Date: Sun, 18 Sep 2011 16:23:00 -0400 (EDT)To: <sList >ReplyTo: sList Subject: Re: Re: EDMARK IS OUT That's a shame that Edmark is out...We used Edmark and it was a wonderful tool that taught my son how to read EASILY.
