PSC and long term care insurance

Has anyone tried to get long term care insurance? I tried but wasn't able to get it. My mom is in assisted living and it costs about $6,000 per month (but it is a very nice place).Marie

When long term care insurance was offered for employees spouses at a company I worked at I tried to sign my husband up. Between the UC and the PSC I wasn't able to get my husband covered. I also had the same problem when I wanted to get the AFLAC Life insurance for my husband, no dice. I was thankful for the other AFLAC coverage that I had though because even though my insurance paid for his medical bills there were still my bills from the daily 2 hr drive back & forth to the hospital, my shortened work hours, i.e. smaller paycheck to cover bills, food etc. Hettinger
