Guest guest
Deb, In the last couple of years I've been made aware that I have bilateral cysts in my kidneys. One is now about 6 cm. I go through spells where they ache, but they especially hurt when I'm having a cholangitis flare up. So far, no "disease" per se diagnosed, but still worrisome. Jeff Hello to all.Has anyone in the group been diagnosed with any kidney disease since your PSC was discovered? I was recently found to have kidney problems and now am being treated with iron infusion and Procrit injections due to my severe anemia--oral iron does not correct the problem. Any response will be gratly appreciated.Deb See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.

Guest guest
As a nurse I know that kidney function is affected by how your liver is working or not working. Since you said kidney disease, you may have a different disease process going on within your kidnys. If the kidney issue is bacause of the liver not working correctly, often when the liver is replaced and fuctioning correctly than the kidneys recover their functions too.
