I read a great article in a health magazine about IBS this week. It talked about the importance of probiotics, with at least 5 billion of several different organisms. It also talked about enteric-coated peppermint oil, which had great results in calming the colon in clinical tries. One brand they mentioned was " NOW " Foods peppermint gels. They also talked about the importance of ruling out gluten and dairy intolerances, which I believe causes most IBS.
