Coming soon……FND University, New Website, New Listservs, and a NEW Transition Tool Kit!

Let me first start by introducing you to the FND University:

FND University is a 24 hour, online distance learning system that will allow you to take a variety of trainings from home, when it is convenient for you. This fully interactive training platform will enable you to keep a transcript of all of your courses, stop a course/start back where you left off, and receive a certificate as you complete each one. Trainings will also have popup quizzes, final tests, and evaluations so you can track your learning progress. Courses include topics such as: understanding IDEA, parental engagement, effective communication, conflict resolution, transition, managing stress, and more.

You will be able to access this great learning opportunity from our new website!

The new website will:

· Be easier to navigate

· Be more interactive

· Be searchable

· Offer more resources

· Have the ability to be translated into over different 20 languages (with just the click of a button)

· Have archived webinars for you to watch

· Have archived newsletters for you to view (for a sneak peek click here)

· And more.

TILES Transition Tool Kit

This Tool Kit, kindly sponsored by Starbucks, was created in 2011 by the TILES program for the FND Youth Action and Advocacy Project. The purpose of this Transition Tool Kit is to put meaningful resources and information in the hands of youth across Florida just like you! You will find information related to transitioning from high school life to adulthood.

In an effort to streamline our listservs and not bombard you with numerous emails on a daily basis, we will be moving to a more systematic approach. With the use of Constant Contact, you will receive monthly e-newsletters, 1-2 informational blasts a week (that includes a wide array of information), important announcements, and legislative updates as they occur. Be on the lookout for the new format in your inbox. ***(Current listserv members will be moved to the new system upon launch.)

***We have been using constant contact to send out additional information for a while. If you had, at anytime, unsubscribed to that, you will not be added to the new list (the system will not allow us to) you will need to re-subscribe if you would like to continue receiving emails. We will send out emails to this list for a few weeks with reminders for you.
