Guest guest
My husband, Kelley (age 60) has PSC and has been cared for by the VA in Little Rock for 4 years. In May they turned him down for a transplant because of heart disease. I did not give up contacting transplant centers, and to my amazment, The University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) cleared and listed my husband October 23 with a MELD of 15. Whether this center is the best or not, I don't care. It has given my very sick and sad husband some hope. All I could ever hope for was that he get on the list and that was not easy. The sixteen member committee really put us through a grueling set of tests and interviews. It is now in God's divine Hands. Kelley feels so bad most of the time that just a peaceful night's sleep is a blessing. Thank you to all of you guys that post...and pray. Love Laurie

Good on you for not giving up on getting on a transplant list. Best wishes for the future to you both. Do keep us informed.
