My husband, Kelley (age 60) has PSC and has been cared for by

the VA in Little Rock for 4 years. In May they turned him down for a

transplant because of heart disease.

I did not give up contacting transplant centers, and to my amazment,

The University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) cleared and listed

my husband October 23 with a MELD of 15.

Whether this center is the best or not, I don't care. It has given

my very sick and sad husband some hope.

All I could ever hope for was that he get on the list and that was not

easy. The sixteen member committee really put us through a grueling

set of tests and interviews. It is now in God's divine Hands.

Kelley feels so bad most of the time that just a peaceful night's sleep

is a blessing.

Thank you to all of you guys that post...and pray.

Love

Laurie

Hi Laurie

Its the 'miracles' like yours that keep us going, but these miracles

are often due to lots of hard work, like you have done. Good on you

for not giving up on getting on a transplant list.

Best wishes for the future to you both. Do keep us informed.
