The Rescue Family grant program provides first time biomedical treatments that are not otherwise covered privately or by third-party funding sources such as school districts, county programs, insurance, and/or other grant making entities. Each grant recipient receives two doctor visits with a specially trained physician who treats autism; laboratory testing, vitamins, minerals and supplements for 90 days, a Generation Rescue mentor and dietary intervention training. Each grant is for 90 days and is a family's jump-start on the road to recovery.Within this short period of time and by following the guidelines of the gluten free/casein free diet or simple carbohydrate diet, along with supplementation and guidance of a New Generation Medical Doctor children have shown amazing response and progress. Each family is required to take the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) before starting the grant program and then again at the conclusion of the 90 day program to evaluate their progress. We are pleased to share with you some success stories from our families. Round One Christian, 2Beginning ATEC: 104Ending ATEC: 48Improvement: 56Christian went from speaking 1 word at a time to 4 to 5 word sentences. The parents and therapist both report seeing a dramatic change in all areas., 5 Beginning ATEC: 96Ending ATEC: 42Improvement: 54Self-help has been greatly improved along with diminished behaviors. His communication and cognition has improved with better understanding of his environment.Round TwoJaden, 4Beginning ATEC: 86Ending ATEC: 22Improvement: 64Social skills have soared and his sense of humor is more apparent than ever! He has started showing empathy and is concerned with other people's feelings. He also has begun to identify his own feelings. Started reading!!, 6 Beginning ATEC: 124Ending ATEC: 60Improvement: 64The last 3 months have been life changing for . He is eating everything, when before I would have to beg and force him to eat. His sleeping patterns have evened out now, and sleeps from 8pm-6am! also is more social and more aware of the world around him. Some great feedback from families in our current round that started June 15, 2010 "I just wanted to post a short update and let everyone know that Kaleb has been making GREAT improvements!!!! His speech is the biggest and most noticeable thing. For the last three days he has been demanding that I kiss him!! Where as before I always had to beg him for one. And he's also been commenting on my hair. I haven't changed anything with it but I always straighten it and for the last few days when I'm done and I walk out of the bathroom he tells me my hair is "so beautiful mom" it puts tears in my eyes every time! Yesterday he also sat threw an entire haircut like it was nothing!!!! I have always had to practically pin him down to get his hair cut and yesterday he sat threw it like a champ!!! I even let him get the haircut he wanted...a mohawk!! Now he wants it red.... don't think I'm ready for that! haha. I hope you all are having just as many great changes as we are!""My little boy had some major improvements over the holiday weekend. My nephew came over on the 4th and Christian walked up to him and said "Hi" waited for a response and then said "How are you?'. He then gave him a great big hug!!! He sat and played with my nephew with the "Little People" garage and schoolhouse appropriately! When my nephew decided to go outside on the swing set, Christian went with him...holding hands, and said "Bye Mommy!" I almost fell out of my chair! He got angry with me when he asked for a slice of bread yesterday and said, "She gets on my nerves" as he walked away. Then he came back over to me and said "Mean Mommy". "I don't care how mad he gets at me, if he talks to me! Just when I started to question the diet, he makes these strides!!!"We hope you are just as excited as we are about our Rescue Family grant program and the progress families are making. With early intervention the cost of lifelong care is substantially decreased. If you know a family who has not tried biomedical treatments please have them apply for a grant. We want to thank our sponsors of the Rescue Family grant program: BioRay, Doctors Data, Enzymedica, MoxUniversity, RevitaPOP, and Syndion. As well as the doctors and their staff who spend many hours evaluating, counseling and using their expertise to make recovery a reality for these families.Sincerely,The Team at GR __________________________________________________________________Generation Rescue thanks its Rescue Familygrant partners __________________________________________________________________ Generation Rescue is proudly sponsored by Forward email This email was sent to deniseslist@... by info2@....
