Guest guest
Hi all, For the past year I have been struggling to get my insurance to cover therapies for my son (our insurance is based in NY where Autism insurance laws have not yet been established). I was wondering if anyone knows of any programs or grants to cover therapies in South Florida. I have tried Healthy Kids/CMS, but we don't qualify b/c DH makes more than the 40k a year salary cap required for CMS. I also looked into Broward Children's Center for therapies but their grant runs out in September and I don't want to start him with new therapists and then have to change again. We are currently paying out of pocket thousands of dollars every month and we are already going into major debt to the point where we might have to sell our home. I'm sure many of you are also struggling through this, I just wanted to make sure we didn't miss any other options or grant programs that might be out there. Thanks for your help, Shiri. Guest guest
Shiri,As many of the people on this list-we all are dealing with insurance issues. Some of us are still dealing with it. Nova has some great programs at a discounted rate. You will be mostly dealing with graduate student but they are run by professionals. Guest guest
Have you tried ARC in broward? They have a sliding scale depending on your income and as long as your child meets eligability requirements they offer all kinds of services. > > Shiri, > > As many of the people on this list-we all are dealing with insurance issues.
