- Two and a half hours of church? There's no way I could get through that.

We are Lutheran(ELCA, the liberal branch),

and one thing about Lutherans, is when church starts running over an hour, it's

not too popular. About an hour and 15 minutes is the usual max for a length of

service and that includes everyone going up for communion.

I know Lutheran churches are far more prominent up here in the Midwest. I

think you shouldn't expect yourself to make it through the entire service. Go

for as long as you can handle, and then leave. God understands. Take care.

One Sunday before Church I took 15mgs. Hydrocodone hoping to be abe to endure

2-1/2hrs. of sitting in a straight back position and I had to take 10 more mgs.

of Hydro just to endure the last 1-1/2hr.

Now to my FM specialist that would be considered abuse, BUT I never

experienced EUPHORIA(sounds evil doesn't it to some that is) and it barely

enabled me to remain seated the 2-1/2hrs. Being a non-

denominational Church that's just how long worship service last sometimes.

This is one of the reasons I joined the local Cowboy Church. Sure, the

chairs are those awful metal fold out ones but church is only one hour

long, no more. I can never get comfy in those chairs, and can only

tolerate one hour tops in them. Some of the older folks have started

bringing their own comfy chairs, and one of the men has some health

problems so he sits on pillows. I may start doing that.

I couldn't sit for more than that, though. My body just won't allow it

at all. I could always join some of the men who stand up in the back, lol!
