Guest guest
Yes. The topical cream I use is a combo of lidocaine and prilocaine. It burns for about 10 seconds.Annie Subject: questionTo: happypelvis , VulvarDisorders Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 12:43 PM Hi My doctor prescribed a concoction of amitryptilene, gabapentin, lidocaine, estriol, testosterone and lidocaine to use as a topical cream applied 4 times a day. I was wondering if anyone experienced a burning sensation when first applying the cream. It goes away in a few minutes, but just wondered if this happenend to anyone before using these topical medications thanks CMake your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place. This sounds like a dream combo to me - will you let me/us know how you get on with it please? You're welcome to mail me off-list. good luck! Guest guest
Okay. This sounds good. Now, why this mix of topicals? Is it because you are not taking any pills? I see my doc at the end of January. I want to get off of the pills and this may be the answer. hugs, ML Re: question << My doctor prescribed a concoction of amitryptilene, gabapentin, lidocaine, > estriol, testosterone and lidocaine to use as a topical cream applied 4 times a > day. Guest guest
This sounds like a great combo and I'm eager to hear if it works! Just to warn you, 4x/day can be ALOT for testosterone! Watch out for side effects. Melinda
Guest guest
Carolyn, when I used Lidocaine it used to burn for a little while at first. Then I had it compounded in a soothing base and it doesn't seem to burn me anymore. It might be some of the inert ingredients. Have you called the pharmacy to see what all they use? If it doesn't irritate, then maybe things will calm down after a while. Take Care,ChelleI was wondering if anyone experienced a burning sensation when first applying the cream.
