Guest guest
Charmaine, if you do ask a doc to test your hormones, make sure you read and study up on the levels yourself. So many docs blow us off when it comes to hormonal connections to our pain. Mainly because they do not know anything about proper levels...and the classic is they will say, "if your still cycling then your levels are fine". That is not always true! If you haven't already, then make sure you track your symptoms during your cycles to see if you find a pattern. For example, is the pain worse the first day you start your period, or is it better? More or less pain with ovulation, etc? My pain levels for years were always so much worse when my estrogen levels dropped their lowest in the cycle.I hope you find some relief. Don't give up! ChelleHaving been off the pill for about 3 years now, I feel like mysymptoms have possibly changed/gotten worse. I feel like maybe mybody was dependent on the "false" hormones from the pill, and now mybody is not compensating with natural hormone function. I'm making anappointment today to speak with yet another gynecologist about hormonetesting. I have been seeing natropathic docs for the past 2 years, but am getting frustrated as I've had very little improvement.
Guest guest
Hi Chelle, thanks for your advice, I greatly appreciate it along with all the other great knowledge shared on this forum - thanks everyone! Funny, I do notice my symptoms are worse right after my period... I will be sure to let my doc know about this. ~Charmaine > Having been off the pill for about 3 years now, I feel like my > symptoms have possibly changed/gotten worse.
