Guest guest
I read on another site that many fibromites have asked Oprah to do a show on fibromyalgia. She refuses to unless it is a celebrity that has it. I don't think she believes it is real. hugs, Debra V. Jeanne and Dave wrote: Yes, that would be great. Let's even go for Oprah. Somehow, I think Dr. Phil would make it seem like it is all in our heads. Jeanne in WI I agree, cept our friends and family would have to do the walking, cause most of us can't. i think we should send letters to all the talk shows and get them to bring awareness out. Montel, Dr Phil, Tyra, to name a few. What do y'all think?

She's a woman of strong opinion, which has gotten her to where she is. But I have a feeling she doesn't tolerate perceived weakness well, and a generalized, unidentifiable painful disease - well - it just seems too much like weakness for some people. I guess I don't worry too much about awareness. Of course, I'm on disability, so it's not an issue with work right now for me. I'm more concerned about if and how much research is being done. And that, of course, is tied to awareness. So we're right back where we are. :::: sigh :::: Gray, achey day. Depressed today. Need to plan some food variety but nothing sounds good. I'm going to have to modify my stepping-stone path - raise it a few inches. It looks nice but doesn't have the desired effect. :::: sigh again :::: :::: mumbling about more bags of sand and stone, and shifting a lot of dirt around :::: Ice cream. Maybe ice cream would help. Guest guest
Z, She doesn't believe it's real. That is what started my friend and mine's Talk show on Blog Talk Radio. We already have a listening audience of over 152 people who download our show. Not bad for the first show. We have some very famous people silently listening in from TV and Radio industry as well. If you truly feel the way you do, Come support us! We are trying to get people to call in and share their stories as well. If you are at work, download and listen later. When our ratings are high enough, we WILL get a primetime slot and that is where Oprah and Dr. Phil find people for their shows. The link to the show is: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/winninglifethroughpain Crystal and fellow Fibromite.
