Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I hope all is well. I am taking one day at a time, and doing OK. A friend of mine contacted me about her friend's 20 year old son that moved here from Arizona, and are looking for residential placement. I am not sure where to get started anymore. I would appreciate your help. Please contact my friend Beth---debrach@.... Her friend is desperate. I told her to contact Social Security to get SSI and Medicaid. I told her that there is a large waiting list to get Medicaid/Waiver. She would need a support cordinator. Eileen Roth
Guest guest
HI Eileen, Both United Cerebral Palsy of Broward and I believe ARC have group homes. She can also checkout the www.211-broward.com website for a comprehensive list of group homes. Good luck, Ida > > Hi Everyone, > > I hope all is well. Guest guest
First step, run back to Arizona if they had a placement there. She will need to get on the medicaid waiver waitlist, but her son will be 30 by the time she gets help. That long of a wait will not help a desperate situation.
