Guest guest
Lately I have been taking Pamelor and I think now that may be adding to the agitation, anxiety, panic, etc I am feeling. Think I need to stop taking it and see if it makes a difference. Nurses, what do you think? Also been without hbp meds all weekend. Wonder if that is part of it too? I am not usually like this. Hugs, This too shall pass.
Guest guest
You haven't had medication for your high blood pressure all weekend? That could be pretty dangerous, depending on what you're taking. Also, it is not advisable to stop many drugs without a weaning off period and under the supervision of your physician. Abrupt discontinuation of some meds can have very harmful effects. Check with your pharmacist and your doctor. Or, perhaps someone on here has some personal experience with this specific medication - BUT even if there are people who contact you with their experiences, you must remember we're all different, and we have different reactions to the same drugs. Is there a reason you haven't had your blood pressure meds? I cannot admonish you enough to talk to your doctor before revising your medication regimen. in Louisiana > Lately I have been taking Pamelor and I think now that may be adding to > the agitation, anxiety, panic, etc I am feeling. Guest guest
, I'm not a nurse at all, but years ago, my PCP had me on pamelor because I wasn't sleeping at night which was keeping me stressed out. He said it was an " old-fashioned " tranq and I took it for about 6 weeks or so with no apparent side affects. Now as to the high blood pressure meds, if your doc didn't tell you to stop them, that COULD be where your issues are coming from - just my thoughts as I have that too..... Guest guest
, I'm not a nurse but used to take Pamelor. It started doing that to me. You need to call the doc and either need a different dose or a different med. My doc put me on Elavil and I've been on it for over a year. HUGE difference in my mood and functioning. I'm taking 100mg at bedtime and Robaxin for the pain every 6 hours. It's a great combo for me personally. No medicine head, very low pain, I'm back to my old self and it feels wonderful after 6 years of constant suffering. We all definately have to be our own advocates when it comes to our health care. It's our body, noone else knows what's going on in our bodies. Others can guess, that' s why doctors have a license to " Practice " Medicine.
