There is a good book out there called the Fibromyalgia Dental Handbook

by Flora Stay, D.D.S. You may want to see if your local library

carries it or if you doctor might buy it for patients such as

yourself. I found it helpful.

Thanks for the book title. I think I'm going to have to check

that out because I'm going to have to go get my teeth cleaned

soon.

Thanks for that info! I have so much to update my dentist on,

they'll be in shock.....lolol.....fibro, COPD, cardiac artery disease

(can we say pre-med for the rest of my life? yippee!) and diabetes.

Then they can be on the lookout for anything that starts to happen.

I don't like going but make myself go every 6 months. I consider it

my example to my kids.......lolol....

Hi ,

I borrowed it from my local library a couple years ago. I know

there was a big section on how to choose a good dentist. She also

comprehensively covers all of the many serious dental manifestations

commonly associated with fibromyalgia-including tartar, burning

mouth syndrome, jaw problems, dry mouth, and unwarranted oral sores.

This book fills a much-needed niche as a handy resource for everyone

coping with fibromyalgia, as well as dental professionals seeking to

help their patients with the condition.

I read it when I developed burning mouth syndrome. Again, no cause

or cure. But, there was some good advice in the book.

I believe she also carries her own product line of some toothpaste

and mouthwash called Fibrosmile or something like that. I think she

took out Salicylate as an ingredient that worked with the

Guaifenesin Protocol that Dr. Armand created.

I use all the Biotene products - toothpaste and mouthwash for dry

mouth. I use the mouthwash multiple times a day and gargle with it

regularly as I also have a chronic sore throat that to no avail can

be fixed even at the Mayo clinic.

Hope that helps . I'm sure they sell it on Amazon, but I would

think your library would carry it or your doctor could buy it.

Due to fixed income, I would never recommend someone spend money on

books that they don't personally need to have in their own library

at home.

Blessings for a good day!
