Guest guest
The research on weighted vest is mixed. Some research has shown great results using 5% of the child's body weight. Other research has been effective using 1 lb weights for all children. Often we will recommend that an OT work with the child and assess where the best place is to position the weights within the vest. I often like over the shoulders, but there is a lot of placement options. If you are interested in any of the following articles please contact me, today, privately and I will send them to you. Otherwise, I can send them to you at the end of October (heading out of town for workshops). Cari Reference List Buckle, F., Franzsen, D., & Bester, J. (2011).
