Guest guest
I need help with any suggestions to get my son's haircut..he has major sensory issues with that. Places that offer videos or lollipops will not work..he will cross street or ask to go home even when we pass any place that resembles a haircut place. So, basically I cant even get him near such a place let alone in it....I have attempted to do it myself..but very difficult.any ideas appreciated.thanks Debbie
Guest guest
My son had problems with this too. He once almost broke my neck he hit me so hard-I saw stars!!! Anyway, he did outgrow this. Try to turn it into a game. Maybe let him cut hisw hair with a baby scissors? Try cutting his hair when it is dry...or see if he would rather cut it with another device like an electric shaver? Good luck...I feel your pain. Guest guest
my son did too...i bought the robocut system - it's like a vacuum with a cutting attachment at the end - so it sucks the hair and cuts at the same time. while there's multiple attachments, i used the one that cuts every strand the same length so you can't mess up. you can use it while your child is engaged with something else since they don't have to sit still. the blade is circular not pointed like scissors. I paid $150 for it a couple years ago (but have hardly used it since my son now let's me cut his hair by negotiating the number of cuts i get at time!)There's a slight problem with the on/off switch though and you have to jiggle it a bit to turn it on - but otherwise it's in good condition. you can have it for free if you'd like to try it out. I live in weston, and work in margate - just let me know or if you're not and anyone else reading this is interested please let me know
