Guest guest
Technically any supplement can have an adverse reaction in a child with autism due to their sensitivities that affect their neurological system. However, SAMe is an excellent choice to increase serotonin which should help the mood especially in a child who has a lot of anger issues. SAMe calms down the anger. Depending on the severity of the issues...try once a day and if you still see anger issues then try two and even three 200mg. There is also 400 mg. tabs as well. SAMe needs to be taken if possible without crushing the tab because of the enteric coating. If your child does well with SAMe you will see the effects immediately. If he doesn't do well, you won't see improvement and there could be more anger. Has anyone tried SAMe? Were there any side effects? what dosage was given? Thanks, Sandy

Guest guest
I wonder if there is any other supplement with wich the SAMe will react negatively with. I would like to try it but my son is on so many different supplements that i would be afraid somthing would interact poorly with it. Re: SAMe Thanks for answering . We will see if it helps. Guest guest
You should be fine with that. SAMe and GABA work well together. We have had many kids on a variety of supplements including SAMe without negative effects. I wonder if there is any other supplement with wich the SAMe will react negatively with.
