Guest guest
Forwarding.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FYI, attached are two PowerPoint presentations that were presented by APD Director Mike Hansen on October 4 and 5. The Budget presentation was presented to the HHS Appropriations Committee on October 4. During the presentation, Hansen reported the APD Waiver ran an estimated $10.2 million deficit last fiscal year even after the addition of the $160 million by the legislature. All APD budget lines reverted dollars on June 30 except for the HCBS waiver. The iBudget presentation was shared with the HHS Access Subcommittee this morning. Hansen reported iBudget implementation (except for application of the algorithm) began in Areas 1 and 2 on October 1. The algorithm is currently under review and Hansen hopes to apply it by December 2011 or January 2012. Expansion of the iBudget phase in will not occur until the algorithm is tested and is determined to be working correctly. According to Hansen, if the algorithm were applied today, 68% of the individuals served would lose services. Suzanne SewellPresident & CEOFlorida Association of Rehabilitation Facilitiesssewell@...
