New Group Therapy Program beginning in our Aventura Office!

We are pleased to announce our new Social Skills/Social Understanding Group Program in Aventura. This year we are replicating our group program that has been offered in our Coral Gables office for the past 7 years which has been very successful. We have brought a new member to our team, Sullivan, LCSW. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and works for MDCPS providing services to children and adolescents with social, communication and behavioral challenges. also works closely with ne Wardy (our Group facilitator in Coral Gables) and they will continue to collaborate throughout the year to ensure a

successful group program.

The focus of our Group Program is to foster successful peer relationships, improve flexibility and adaptive/cooperative behaviors. Our groups are aimed at:

· Developing Social Understanding

· Improving Conflict Resolution Skills

· Increasing ative and Prosocial Behaviors

· Enhancing Self Esteem while Reducing Anxiety

Our Social Groups differ from other social skills training in that they emphasize self-awareness and social understanding in a fun atmosphere, rather than just rote skill training. We provide groups for children ages 4 to 16 years old. Fees are $65/$75 per group depending on payment option.

Please note that Parent Orientation Meetings will be held on August 26 and groups will begin the following week. If you have not been to our office, an initial meeting will need to take place prior to beginning the groups.
