Guest guest
, You might ask your doc if you can try actigall instead. Same active ingredient but slightly different combination of other stuff. I also had ursofalk from Canada for awhile, I don't know if that is the same as ursodiol, but it is worth the effort to ask your pharmacist. FYI, I found that the hospital pharmacist knew more than the one in the drug store, probably because he was more involved with the transplant team. Be sure to tell your team about this. It is important to take your meds and they want it to be able to do it without side effects. Take care MizKitCheck out AOL Money Finance's list of the hottest products and top money wasters of 2007. Guest guest
I take 2100 mg/day - 900 mg with breakfast, 300 mg with lunch, 900 mg with supper. I've been taking it for about 6 years now. I've not experienced any side effects from it, but I know others have. Sorry, not much help Arne ---- jmhette2 wrote: ============= What do you guys do? For the first two weeks I felt queasy and a bit unsettled, but eventually got used to it. Cant say it makes me feel better. Have not been able to link the URSo to changes in my URQ tenderness. Guest guest
Hi , I had Urso giving me extreme pain in my j-pouch so the g.i. I had at the time said I should not take it anymore and took me off of it. It is rough if the Urso is helping but also hurting you. I wish there was something else I could do to help. Good luck! Guest guest
I wish you luck. I have been on high dose URSO for years without any problems. I take 2500mg daily. > > > > I hate it. The side effects were WAY too severe for me, which is why I'm one of the few in the group who can't and won't take the stuff! Though, I must say, the Urso didn't help my itching at all. There are some in the group who take rifampin (I think that's right) and use tanning beds (just a couple of minutes at a time) to ease the itching. Hang in there! Guest guest
I have had stomach upset from it from time to time. My issues were more of a burning/burping problem. Prilosec pretty much fixed my problems. oh...and it's horribly important for me to take it with food. I don't do well when I take it on an empty stomach. I have a somewhat related questran issue, but I'll start another thread I think...
