Guest guest
, I'm so glad your life is not stressed and you have money + more! You are one lucky lady! And, you don't need medication? Wow, another thing to be extremely thankful for. You don't need to go to the doctor! I wish I could be so blessed. Sounds like your life is peachy!!! Maybe you can give us some insight into your perfect unstressed life so we will feel as good as you do! I guess your IBS and fibromyalgia must not be that bad...... Guest guest
You are amazing. I've never known anyone who didn't experience stress or need any help with anything. Or maybe I did and they just didn't tell me about it. I'm glad you have such a wonderful life and wonder why you need a support group. I know why I need one. I'm stressed out about a lot of things. I live an extremely simple life but am not able to pay all of my finances, will probably lose my house by 2009 and don't know where I will go and I can't afford extras. My pain from Fibromyalgia, IBS, GERD, Bone Cancer, and Sarcoidosis cause me stress. These and other conditions I have do require meds, such as hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, AADD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and high blood pressure. They are expensive and do cause stress for me. I don't actually sit back and stress myself out, it just sort of happens when the symptoms of these illnesses become too much. It is great that you have your pain under control. I do not. I get frustrated when I can't go somewhere I want to or need to go and that causes me stress. I have lost friends, family and my husband, who wasn't supportive and understanding but was an angry, abusive man, and that makes me sad and creates stress. I don't just sit at home and do nothing. I can't work because lots of days I can hardly move and I can't concentrate or make decisions because of Fibromyalgia and Sarcoidosis. But I still have to figure out a way to make my meals, clean my house and wash my clothes, to name a few things I do when I am not sitting at home doing nothing. I would love to have coffee time with friends. It is something I used to enjoy and would again if I could. I don't know why you are yelling about not doing nothing. Shouting is uncalled for most of the time and usually makes my head hurt. I try hard not to do it and only do when I am stressed out a lot and I always feel worse afterward because I don't like to be that way. I don't feel anyway about your life. As I said I do wonder why you would need a support group as you seem to have all the support you need from your work buddies and your friends and husband, but I'm sure you have your reasons. I hope one day to be able to lead a more stress free life. It is certainly way up there with my hopes and dreams. Marti wrote: I'm sorry that you think I am STRESED. Guest guest
Marti, I had a feeling this one was going to rub you the wrong way. It did me to at first and then I thought about it, when I'm feeling good I try to ignore the bad, just like when I'm feeling bad I have trouble thinking about any good. I hope that you aren't feeling to bad. God bless and keep you, If you have fibromyalgia and IBS you ARE stressed! How could you > not be? Guest guest
I'm not saying i don't need help with anything.I just don't have a stressful life like alot of people do. I can still work,go do some things.BUT I do get TIRED and just sleep.Today I am VERY tired and even went to my water areobics class.I have to head to work here in about 20 mins and I wish i could just go to sleep.I'm not perfect and neither is my life.I just deal with things differently thatn others. I need support from others in this group for my FM. I wanna know what to expect down the road, that could be even next week or month, maybe even next year. But I need to know too.I don't take prescription meds because I can take dietary supplements that will do the same thing without putting a chemical in my body.I have full medical coverage as my hubby is in the Army.I just don't need to take it when there is other options and because of my fear of taking pills. Guest guest
I am not lucky,it's called a BLESSING. I don't take medication and thats by CHOICE. When I ache,I take tylenol arthritis. My pain is managed by the water areobics and I am blessed to be able to go for free. I have found dietary supplements to help my energy level and will help with my muscle aches when I do have them.Today I'm TIRED and I really needed some more sleep.BUT I need my class! There is no reason for me to be stressed! God takes care of me so why worry and stress??!! No,I don't have to go to the doctor but 1x per month so she can see how I'm doing. If need be I can see her more but for now,I'm ok. No one says things will stay this way for me.FM does progress and I'm just not at a bad point YET. I'm sure when you 1st found outt,it wasn't so bad.Well thats where I am. So yes I am blessed but yes it won't always be this way for me.It just is right now.My IBS is awful, but stress won't make it go away but only make it WORSE. mncjl wrote: , I'm so glad your life is not stressed and you have money + more!
