Guest guest
As you may all know there is a lawsuit in the federal court alleging the Broward School District failed to provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA),a scientifically based methodology in the instruction of students with autism. The lawsuit alleges that the School Board has never offered ABA instruction and has refused to use it when requested by a parent. The second part of the lawsuit centers around the practice of the School District in assigning autistic children to the Baudhuin Oral Preschool, a segregated (autistic children only), private school regardless whether these children can receive a free and appropriate public education in a non-segregated school, and in a les restrictive environment. It is anticipated that this lawsuit will receive class action status and any parent who has/had a child in the Broward School District and requested ABA instruction and was denied such instruction or failed to request ABA therapy knowing such a request would not be granted, may join the class action suite. If interested in joining the class action suit, contact the law office of J. Pyper in Weston, either by phone, or by email, dpyper@...
