It is about 4:30am on Thursday, November 29. We were just awakened by the staff nurse & told that Barby would be transferred to surgery prep (again) in about fifteen minutes. Liver number 3 is now in the hands of the KU Med Ctr surgeons and they say that the transplant is a GO! There will be prep & surgery time between now & completion - the surgery should be complete by noon, today. I will update you as other details become available.
