Guest guest
I just returned from a 4 night autism family camp in GA. It was amazing. They had camp for the children with autism and a simultaneous sibling camp. Also activities for the adults. The children with autism were assigned a one on one counselor. All the counselors were great. They did all the activities that a child would do at a sleep away camp. They had a lunch just for the siblings so they could talk to other children about what its like to have a sibling with autism. I think it helped my girls realize they are not alone. It is sponsored by NOVA. Sue Kabot was there. It is on the campus of Ramah Doram a conservative Jewish camp. The family camp is called Camp Yofi. We will probably go again next year. If anyone wants more information they can contact me or the camp directly. Hope everyone had a nice summer. Josie
