Guest guest
I do know that potassium levels can run high. If it does, it is dangerous. Of course very low potassium is also dangerous. It affects the muscles including the heart muscle. Some people have to be careful especially with kidney function problems. Most of us without kidney problems can eat just about as much potassium as we want. But.... if you are supplementing your diet with potassium pills, be sure to watch it and talk to your doctor. Any of us can take too much of a potasssium supplement. Now of course if you are on a diuretic (water pill) such as lasix, Lasix will waste potassium from your body. Alot of times people on medication that causes secretion of potassium will also be prescribed a potassium supplement to keep levels up. Just saying, anyone out there be careful with potassium supplements and talk to your doctor about them if he did not put you on them. Well, just rambling here, love and hugs, Debra V. --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.
