Guest guest
Loved it but too expensive to continue more than 1 summer. My son reading comprehension skills did improve 2 grade levels. Luckily, years ago, back in the days BEFORE all these school budget cuts, my son's support facilitator (a job that is now extinct as far as I know) was trained in Visualization and Verbalization, so she continued to provide it to him 1 on 1 for next two years at school. It is a program that would benefit all children. Robin Hi All!Did anybody tried Mood Bell program and what was the outcome? My son has trouble with reading comprehension and his speech therapist recommended me to try their Visualization and Verbalization program...Any replies will be greatly appreciated.Have a great day!Gaby
Guest guest
Hi we did it for 10 weeks, 3 hrs a day. They are not experienced in dealing with kids with autism. It is a good program but it wasn't really until about 8 weeks in that they really figured out how to work with my son. Having said that, I think he got some benefits from the discipline and if we could've continued, might have made some more strides. It is a fortune and they are very very serious about collecting their money. Re: Mood Bell - Reading Program Loved it but too expensive to continue more than 1 summer. The visualizing and verbalizing program is wonderful, but as one person said it needs to be administered properly. Sometimes, the nuances of the child get in the way of the learning and the teachers need to find the way to reach the child no matter what!! This doesn't always happen! I worked at Mood Bell for a couple of years and my son spent a summer there. He made great strides and his reading comprehension rose tremendously. The program has the potential for great success when monitored properly. I would be happy to discuss with you more about the program and even the opportunity to work with your son. I no longer work there as my son's needs got in the way of my working full time however, depending on what you may be looking for I may be able to work with your son on the visualizing and verbalizing program for a lot less than they will charge you. If you are interested please email me at smjaj@... and we can set up a time to talk further. I hope this helps.
