Guest guest
Sorry about the delay. I needed some R & R. Barby is doing great! She is in the top 10% of all post op liver patients according to her docs. All functions & blood levels are coming back normal at this time. The liver is functioning beautifully. She is experiencing pain, but her nurse says she is using her pain med self dose button far less than most patients & signigicantly less than she could were she to want to. She will be moved to a regular room on the sixth floor tomorrow. That is the earliest time for a liver transplant patient. She was sitting up and talking today. They will begin having her walk this evening. When she moves to a regular room - anyone wishing to visit may do so - no flowers. Anyone who wants to volunteer to sit with her when she moves to her new room - let eric know by e-mail or by phone (NOTE-details on CaringBridge site).
