I don't know about southern LA but there is a Dr. Dees in Shreveport that I plan

to see. He is with Willis Knighton and they have a transplant center at WK. I

live in Texas but I am much, much closer to Shreveport than I am Dallas or

HOuston. I asked a friend of mine who is also a physician in Shreveport if he

knew anybody and he suggested Dr. Dees. Despite having PSC for 6 years - I have

not yet needed a heptologist so I have not yet made an appointment.

Hey! I really liked my Hepatologist pre-Katrina (hurricane) and the

hospital affiliated with her. However, things have been slow to get up

and running and I am no longer satisfied with my current hospital and

doctor, particulary the office. I am wondering if anyone out there has

heard of a good hepatologist in Southern Louisiana?

I am still new to this group and am so greatful I found you all on the

internet. You have so much more information than the my doctors. It

has been 4 years since I was diagosed and it wasn't until this year

through my own research that I was able to get a pamphlet on PSC. My

hepatologist says we are playing with numbers. I have not had an MRCP

or ERCP since I was diagnosed with PSC despite my Alk Phos, ALT, AST,

and bilirubin increase. Also this year, I started excessive itching

everywhere and have very small white blisters on my joints. I am

anxious and am wondering if my disease has progressed. I have

requested an MRCP but it has been 3 weeks and the office has not called

me back. My instructions were not to call them, they would call me. I

know they are busy but I feel like I'm on the back burner boiling

over. Thank you for allowing me to vent.
