Guest guest
Hi I had anti botics nearly two weeks ago for a cholangitis attack and I have finished them but I am now feeling really sick and still have chills and fevers and having pain in my liver which is bearable though and itching but not got a high temperature. I have to have an op on Tuesday as I have a hole in my skull that shouldn't be there but do you think I should contact my liver doctor about the above symptoms still being there tomorrow? or do you think it can wait until after my op as if I don't have this op there is a high risk of me getting an infection in the brain any advice would be great?many thanks kelly-joy
Guest guest
I'd report this to your doctor in the morning. It shouldn't be ignored. Let the doctors decide what to manage first. Guest guest
They really need to know that. I'd be astounded if it wasn't discovered in prep, and the operation postponed but I wouldn't take the chance. Please inform them. Guest guest
I had a similar thing happen about 2 months or so ago. I had a cholangitis infection and took antibiotics for 2 weeks and was down but still having some issues like more pain and itching and feeling sick. It took about another 3-4 weeks to feel back to my usual self and I still have pain, but I did before. I did call my hepa doc and he wanted to see me. I had an ultrasound done and all the normal bloodwork. He told me that if I spike a fever again start taking the cipro again and gave me a presciption for it. He also gave me bentyl and a pain med to take for the liver pain. Haven't tried the bentyl yet though. I would definately call. It may just be lingering effects but you may also need another round of antibiotics. PSC 8/07 PBC 10/

Guest guest
> I will let you all know what happenes after my MRI. > Hi -Joy Hope all goes well, at least an MRI is not invasive and its good to have a lie down away from everything while the machine clonks and clangs around you.
