Guest guest
Maybe we as parents should do an "Occupy Wallstreet" with our goal of stopping abuse and allocating money for our vulnerable children and adults! Guest guest
Kathy: I'd like to talk to you, so if you can give me an idea of when is a good time to call you. There are some other things going on I'd like to share with you. Thanks I Posted this a while back and got only one response. If you really want to do something, even if you do not to help with the fundraiser, get in touch. Maybe we can come up with a plan before this episode is forgotten about. My phone number is below. We need a safe place for our kids to live when we can't be there anymore. When I heard about the people in WPB holding people with developmental disabilities hostage, I felt the blood drain from my face. I asked myself the same question I've been asking since he was 14, will happen to my kid when I'm gone. I got even more upset when the neighbors got on TV and told the reporters about the abuse that went on in that house. How could they let that happen and not intervene in some way.A few years ago I started a non-profit to make a safe place for our kids to live. A place where their neighbors would be willing to report abuse without waiting for the cameras to show up. There are options available in other places that really work (Camphill Communities for one), just not here in Broward or Palm Beach County.I have been working on this for some time and I know it can be done. We just need to raise enough money to purchase a property that will meet the requirements. We really need to step up our efforts to raise the money and I really need your help.If you can spare a few hours a month to get a fundraiser going, please call my cell phone, 954 234-3008 or drop me an email at Kathy@... You don't have to be an expert at anything. We will put it together like, "Stone Soup."Kathy BuerosseIndependence Heights>> > I agree.
