I’m wondering if you would be willing to post information about our conference to your group? Please use any of the information below that you think is relevant. Thank you! I am writing to let you that the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation is presenting an invaluable program for parents and professionals in Fort Lauderdale on October 20 – 22, 2011! This will be an engaging and dynamic educational experience featuring leading national and local SPD researchers and intervention experts sharing compelling studies and important insights to help us all better understand the needs of children with sensory issues. Our program for professionals includes a one-day Institute on Designing Spaces to Maximize Therapeutic Benefit as well as a two-day symposium on Understanding the Role of Sensation in Daily Life. Our panel of SPD experts will include Dr. Lucy Jane and Henry, as well as many leading authorities in Florida including Dr. VanLue, Dr. Tim Conway, and Dr. Lewkowicz. Presentations over the three days will focus on: · the relationship of sensory processing and language-based learning disabilities, gifted and talented children, Autism and ADHD· therapeutic tips and techniques including Interactive Metronome and DIR/Floortime· developmental models and assessment· and more… Please take a look at the attached agenda for all the details. I would love to have therapists, educators and any professionals who provide services to children attend this program which addresses a very important topic being tackled schools, homes, and clinics. We have special pricing for groups (register 4 and the 5th is free). For more information and registration fees, please visit our website at www.spdfoundation.net/florida2011 Since this program is also relevant to the families, would you help us get the word out? I’m sure they would be especially interested in hearing Carol Kranowitz, author of The Out-of-Sync Child, and others present at our Parent Workshop: Introduction to SPD. Our esteemed panel will focus on tip and techniques and we are also pleased to present Deborah DiMare, a Florida resident, interior designer and tv personality, who will help us create “Sensory-Smart homes”. Parents are also welcome at the symposium to learn more about sensory processing research and strategies and support. Parents are welcome to take advantage of our Group Rate as well. I’ve attached a flier that can be sent to list servs, mailing lists, posted on website or bulletin boards. I’ve also attached a brief program description that can be included in a newsletter or on a website if that is an option as well. Also, if you have resources or suggestions for places to promote this program, please send them along to me. It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your consideration. We’re looking forward to our visit to sunny Florida!
