Subject: horribly brief update, sorry

got 6 hours sleep, which is the most i've had all week, so i am good to go

for today, promise. no time to write (although i did start an update), but

jason had a rough night. he stopped breathing, so they lessened the

morphine and was stable until his heart started racing later, around

midnight. drugs into neck catheter (down into heart) stabilized that... we

are heading over to hosp around 9am

jim should be extubated today. he has to be weaned off the ventilator,

which he loathes. it makes him feel as if he can't breathe (that, and the

nasogastric tube).

my poor guys :-(((((((

i promise i will write tonight. the surgery took 12 hours, those, poor

surgeons were so spent afterwards :-(

thank you a million times over for your prayers and concerns, everyone. we

do feel them.

seeing their brother like this is especially hard on jessica and jillian.

dad, too, of course, but i think i prepared them better for that. hard on

me too, of course, but you all seem to be praying a lot of courage into me,

for which i am grateful.

surgeon says it will be touch and go (yes, he used those words) for jim for

the next two weeks.

more later -- gotta go ...everyone else is dressed and i am in my pj's

still. i was so tired last night i put them on backwards! :-((( not easy

being the wife AND the mom.

Maureen,

Your post touched me today. , my husband, really wants to be the

donor for our daughter when/if her day comes. I can see myself in

your shoes someday, as I'm sure quite a few Moms can here. I will

remember you guys in my prayers as well. Take care of yourself and

remember to eat!
