Guest guest
Over the past year, the University of California, Irvine has been studying the impact of multi-sensory therapy on autism based on the original clinical work of Claudie Gordon-Pomares. It took 6 years to get the funding from a private foundation for what looked like a solution too simple to be effective. In November, Prof. Leon will present the promising results of that pilot study to the Society for Neuroscience in San Diego. It appears that olfactory and tactile stimulation, along with the other short and gentle multi-sensory protocols were able to bring up IQ, Childhood Autism ratings and expressive vocabulary. Before Multi-sensory therapy can become a real solution in the mainstream, this study needs to be expanded to a larger population, for a longer period of time. Professor Leon sent me a budget proposal. All they need is a total of $350,000 for a 2-year clinical trial. The money would be contributed to the UC Irvine Foundation so that it would be tax deductible. Would you be interested in helping Professor Leon and his team of prominent researchers confirm that multi-sensory therapy is a tenable solution to treat autism? If you would like to be involved, contact Prof. Leon's office at 1-. Please forward this to friends and interested organizations. Thank you for being part of the solution for autism and developmental disorders. Sincerely, -- Kim Pomares www.unlimitedbrain.com TOLL FREE: 1 (888) 5-BRAIN-1 LOCAL:
