It seems to me that yes, , you have a milder form of FM at this time.

Many of us, if not most, waited a long time for a diagnosis, so that we were

already suffering quite a bit in the quality of life department.

You also seem to have a very strong faith and that is strong medicine.

I think what has people doubting your no stress claim, is that for us, just

having IBS is considered stress. Yes, getting upset and stressed over having

IBS doesn't help and makes it worse. But certainly if person A has IBS and

person B does not, it would seem that person A has more stress because of

dealing with the IBS.

I don't want you to think I'm personally attacking you, because I'm not.

I'm just trying to explain our side of things, and keep the peace. I think your

postive attitude and faith help you out a great deal.

Take care.

I like the way you think . :)

And I know I'm all alone with this one, but I felt worse in the beginning I

just didn't know what was wrong with me. I was sure I was dying. I feel better

now than I did then. My fibro started in 1995 and the next three years were the

worst ever. Then my over all body pain was at its worst in 1999-2002 before I

started seeing my chiro on a regular basis. But that's just how my body and

fibro seems to respond to what I do to it.

CHOICE. When I ache,I take tylenol arthritis. My pain is managed by the water

areobics and I am blessed to be able to go for free. I have found dietary

supplements to help my energy level and will help with my muscle aches when I do

have them.Today I'm TIRED and I really needed some more sleep.BUT I need my

class! There is no reason for me to be stressed! God takes care of me so why

worry and stress??!! No,I don't have to go to the doctor but 1x per month so she

can see how I'm doing. If need be I can see her more but for now,I'm ok. No one

says things will stay this way for me.FM does progress and I'm just not at a bad

point YET. I'm sure when you 1st found outt,it wasn't so bad.Well thats where I

am. So yes I am blessed but yes it won't always be this way for me.It just is

right now.My IBS is awful, but stress won't make it go away but only make it

WORSE.

Jeanne,

I;m not sure when I actually got the FM. All i know is I was in bad shape 3-4

weeks when seen by my doctor. She ran all the tests and came up empty handed and

thats when she did the whole FM exam. I'm sorry some of you had to wait so long

for a diagnosis! I would have went crazy! My IBS just doesn't act up on a daily

basis. And even when it does,I dont get stressed because I know it will only

make it WORSE. UGH! I had an episode lastnight after eating ceaser salad. I

love it but I guess I am going to have to finally give it up OR SUFFER and I

dont want that. Bad thing is,I was @ work when it happened. I stay positive

because being negative doesn't get you anywhere. Been there done that and had

SEVERE depression. I HATE where I live,so my life isn't that great! I just stay

focused on the things I don't hate. I'm sorry you and others have suffered with

pain for so long with this and i hope you find something that helps.

,

You might look at whether there is some ingredient in Ceasar salad

that you're sensitive to. I know there's usually anchovies in it.

Also, eggs, which, because they don't use fresh raw eggs anymore,

means that there's preservatives. I don't go near strongly seasoned

salads, like Ceasar, or those made with balsamic or red wine vinegar,

because of the risk of encountering sulfites.

You may be able to fiddle with the recipe and ingredients and come up

with an approximation that will allow you to enjoy the taste, while

avoiding the aftermath.
