Seeking Parent Connectors

to participate in research developing a support

program for parents of children with

emotional or behavioral problems

Ideal candidates will:

· Be a parent who has experienced raising a child with emotional or behavioral problems

· Have demonstrated success coping, and be knowledgable about the service system

· Be able to establish rapport on the telephone, be supportive to other parents, and honor confidentiality

· Attend a 3-day training in September 2010

· After training, provide support to assigned parents for the entire school year

· Have reliable transportation

· Be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English language

· Be compensated $12 per hour for serving as a Parent Connector

· Submit a letter of interest and qualifications to Amy Green by August 27, 2010
