Kefir -- A Probiotic for IBS

I drink this on a daily basis to stop diarrhea. It works real well,

controls IBS. I used to buy it in the store. Got to be expensive buying

it every week. I used to spend over $100 dollars on the Helios organic

Kefir each month. I also have bought the Lifeway brand of Kefir which

is cheaper. I couldn't stop drinking Kefir, and I couldn't go back to

yogurt which was not controlling IBS. I thought it was really strange

about the toilet hugging kind of diarrhea that hit me all the time. I

got scared about going out of the house, since I never knew when this

problem would strike.

A friend of mine sent me the Kefir grains that I reuse. I went from 1

tablespoon of grains, to several cup fulls. I started out making one

cup of Kefir, but I'm up to making 20 cups. Kefir has 10 active

cultures compared to the one culture that Activia has.
