Guest guest
Hi, Marti, I've missed you, too! I don't know what's best for your eyes at this point, esp. with all the " lost messages " . I thought I read one that you prefer all lower case? Please let me know when you have a chance. I hope that didn't hurt your eyes with the Sarcoidosis. Did I get it right this time? I think you told me you were going to take methotrexate. I hope your chemo is going well and you're not getting sick. I'm wishing the best for you. My gastroenterologist is one of my best doctors I have. I'm glad he suggested what he did for my GI issues. The lactaid pills did the same thing to me!! Ouch!! I do eat Stonyfield yogurt, too. I'm glad it works for you The Activia is only 4 ounces. Stonyfield was the one I started out with, but it seems they keep downsizing everything. Maybe someday you'll be able to eat broccoli again. You know all our bodies react differently to medications and food. I still have the flu and am propping myself up when I can to " decongest " . I'm drinking plenty of orange juice, which helps me, and I can take Mucinex DM (has guaifenesin & dextromethorpan (sp?) ) in it. You can get it with just guaifenesin. They've come up with new types. Not like the " olden days'. Another head's up. I went to buy Mucinex recently and they sold me some with sudafed in it. (I didn't notice until it was too late). I can't take that since it makes my heart " race " . The pharmacies limit the amount you can buy since people are making illegal drugs from it. Hugs to all & feel well wishes. I hope our messages don't end up in bulk. I sent a message to the group, but who knows if it went through? Yahoo is not cooperating. Dee Marti Boguski wrote: Hi Dee, I've missed you. I started my treatments yesterday and was wondering how you were while I was sitting, well half laying, there. I'm glad you got in to see your GI doc. I'm also glad that the live bacteria yogurts and Metamucil type products are working for you. I get enough fiber in my diet, but I eat the stonyfield yogurt with the live bacteria and it works well for me too. The Lactose pills don't do anything good for me either, I think they make my stomach hurt even. I drink Lactaid milk too and have it with my Total Raisin Bran. I also eat the Lactaid cottage cheese (with fruit bowls stirred in). (Well not the bowls, but the fruit in the bowls.) Fresh fruit will still upset the delicate balance, as they say on TV, of my IBS, sometimes. And that's great that you can eat those foods. I still can't do that except maybe every once in a while. I'd love to be able to eat broccoli again. Good to hear from you. Marti Recent Activity 22 New Members 8 New Photos 2 New Links Visit Your Group Meditation and Lovingkindness A Yahoo!
