Yes we have them here not real close but when I get out they are in the area I

shop. That sound so so good. I bet I would get hooked, I have always liked

someone else's salad better then mine even if I use the same ingred's. I am

glad you were able to post after your TX today and am sorry though to hear it

was rougher than yesterday. I hope they will get better, so tough not feeling

good. But glad you have your g.kids to love to peices and vice versa, I so wish

my 2 lived here, I know they would take away some of this bliss. I have a 5 yr

old boy and a girl to be 1 next week, she started walking at 9 mo's my boys were

like that, her mother waited until after a year. My g.son is full of himself,

and his interest and favorite is Jellyfish and Squid, actually he wants a

jellyfish he promised his mom he would not touch it because he knows they sting!

Now he is teaching himself all the planets and how far away they are from each

other, so when we talk on the phone, I

am asked all these questions and can't answer and he says yes you can, you know

cause your way older than me and I know! Love them, there being born smart

aren't they kids today seem like they don't even need to be taught they come

into the world knowing this stuff! Lol hope the next few TX are good to you and

then you get your week off right? Take good Care Sharon

Dear Sharon,

Even if I make them at home, which I don't much anymore, I can never tell if a

plain, regular salad will cause me to have an IBS attack. The on again, off

again nature of it drives me crazy. I do find that if I have one once in a while

I can get by with it; but I make sure that I'm at home when I eat it. There's a

salad at Panerra Bread (do you have them up there) that is regular salad with

pecans, strawberries, blueberries, dried cherries and pears that I love. I don't

use the vinaigrette dressing that comes with it and I do take it home to eat,

but sometimes I just have to have one. But it is a rare thing.

I tend to get my roughage/fiber from Total raisin bran cereal and Lactaid milk..

` Does it not matter to if the salad was bought and not made by ourselves the

MSG used in eateries use will cause it to act differently in alot of IBS, though

again everyone different I know I have to ask when out. Also I can eat something

one time and it does that then the next time not, and it will be on off on off.

Nuts because I don't expect it and will eat and boom! I also have not suffered

with it for over 20 yrs now but this past yr it is BACK, actually so much so the

other day I got wondering did I not have Chron's disease as my son suffers with,

because I ate and within seconds was quickly in the BR and first time I have not

been upset that I have been pretty housebound all winter!!! Hope it settles down

for all going through it. Sharon

You might look at whether there is some ingredient in Ceasar salad

that you're sensitive to. I know there's usually anchovies in it.

Also, eggs, which, because they don't use fresh raw eggs anymore,

means that there's preservatives. I don't go near strongly seasoned

salads, like Ceasar, or those made with balsamic or red wine vinegar,

because of the risk of encountering sulfites.

You may be able to fiddle with the recipe and ingredients and come up

with an approximation that will allow you to enjoy the taste, while

avoiding the aftermath.
